Balatonalmadi

The town is situated in the north-eastern point of Lake Balaton, surrounded by hills from the west and north which by creating a sheltered zone protect the settlement against the prevailing winds. This unique environment is combined with a pleasant mediterranean climate. Local people have been working with viticulture on the hillsides for centuries and visitors are always received cordially in their wine-cellars.
If you take a walk in the zigzaggy streets of Vorosbereny you can still feel the atmosphere of this thousand-year old village of the Balaton Uplands.
The varied environment, the reminiscences of the past, the hospitality and the numerous opportunities of active recreation make the stay of visitors and tourists special. In our town there are several beaches that meet every requirement, so everybody can find their "favourite cup of tea".
