At the important crossroads, where the present Roman Catholic Church stands, a basilica stood as early as the 9th century protecting Saint Clement's relics. The church had been rebuilt several times and a complete renewal gave its present form in the middle of the 1940s. Its internal decoration, stained glass windows, the mosaics above the altar and paintings all represent high artistic value.
In the park surrounding the church stands a statue of Cardinal and Primate László Lékai, who served as a priest in Balatonlelle for a long time.
