Batthyany Castle - Zalacsány

   

Batthyany Castle is situates in Zalacsány like a historical castle which was formerly owned by Batthyány.

László Csányi was born here in 1790 who was the Minister of Transportation and Post in the second (Szemere) independent Hungarian government, and later the absolute Transylvanian commissioner of Lajos Kossuth. He was hanged as a martyr in Pest on 10th October 1849.
It became the property of Batthyány family in the middle of the 19th century and was renovated and expanded in Baroque style later.
The building was functioning as a foster home after 1945 and this time left its marks on the inside walls and on the equipments. The total destruction was stopped by the renovation started in 1997 which gave back the original style of the building inside and also outside.

Room information
Nowadays the castle has 32 apartments, a restaurant for 100 people, a conference room with 100 places and salon music, an indoor thermal pool, sauna, a separated room and a 300-year-old virgin park.

Tourism tax should be paid extra between age 18-70, it costs 100 HUF/person/night.
Half-board: 3.000 HUF/person/night
Full-board: 6.000 HUF/person/night
Children policy: between age 0-2 the accommodation is free of charge for the child 1 room sharing with the parents. Between age of 2-12 it costs 7.500 HUF with halfboard/night.
Cancellation policy (for individuals): 72 hours (or more) prior to arrival free of charge, in 72 hours or no-show 1 night should be paid.
Check-in: 2 pm, check-out 11 am.
