A hall of the legion camp's public bath was revealed in 1778 on Aquincum first archaeological exploration. Gymnasium (palaestra), cold, lukewarm and boiling water pools, bath-tubs, sudatory and spacious, halls supplied with underfloor heating the soldiers' refreshment was served.

Thermae Maiores ruins from Florian square from a underpass in opening Bath Museum can be observed.
