In Eger after 91 years Turkish occupation, in the liberated town was held the first catholic thanksgiving service in the Turkish mosque, which was standing on the place of the today church. Its high altar, which touches the ceiling, is unusual and daringly constructed, a matchless, and spectacular creation of the Hungarian rococo.
