This flatland, covered by three counties, borders on the Ukraine and Romania. The Hortobagy National Reserve also lies on its territory. The villages here contain hidden treasures, medicinal spas have been built on the numerous springs. Cserkeszolo and Berekfurdo offer good opportunities for tourists wishing to discover new areas. In the north of the Great Hungarian Plain, one can meet not only small churches built in the Romanesque age, surrounded by gardens redolent of thyme, but also large churches proudly stretching their towers into the sky, beautiful belfries, small idyllic villages nestling in a river bend and cities buzzing with life.

We can often meet pheasants and lively brown hares. The heart of the forests are inhabited by roes and wild boar, the woods of Gothi are home to the fallow deer.
