The Hunguest Grandhotel Galya lies at the second highest point of the Matra Mountains, 956 metres above sea level. Its mild sub-alpine climate and crystal-clear fresh air have a health-giving effect, which is combined with a yearly number of hours of sunshine much above the national average. Hunguest Grandhotel Galya was built between 1937-39 in this wonderful landscape, at the centre of a lovely, 5 acre park, surrounded by forests.

Room information
In the hotel there are 4 family rooms, 2 suites, 117 double rooms, 1 single room, 7 mansard rooms and 3 special rooms for physically challenged people. All rooms have television, telephone, minibar, bathroom, toilet and Internet connection.

Gastronomy
In its elegant environment, with a large, panorama terrace, breathtaking view of the Matra, Panorama Restaurant offers Hungarian dishes and game specialities, while Matra Restaurant welcomes you with a terrace and an observation kitchen, offering a wide assortment of Latin dishes in its hall and terrace with a special atmosphere
You can have refreshments in the pool bio bar. The lobby bar offers pleasant evening relaxation.
Campfire parties, grill parties, wine-tasting with the inauguration of the wine-general, standing receptions, gala dinners - under the supervision of famous chefs.

Wellness, Fit & Fun
The use of the pool in the wellness centre indeed regenerates. The Aqualand, the Sauna Island and the conditioning room offer refreshment in over 1000 square meters. The use of bathrobes is free of charge.

Fit & healthy
Sport animation, aqua-exercises, water aerobics, conditioning fitness, gymnastics in the open air and indoors, body-building with personal trainer, jogging, exercises improving posture, badminton, table tennis, the hotel’s own ski course, football pitch, 5 hectare park.
Curative climate: Cure for the diseases of the respiratory system, allergy, asthma, diseases caused by dust and smog, and for the treatment of bronchitis, anaemia, and nervous exhaustion.
Recreation and regeneration: Specialist examination and consultation, health protective and preventive programmes, healthy lifestyle – consulting, curative exercises. Pulmonology – Inhalator treatment, salt chamber, breathing cure with breathing exercises. Digital blood oxygen level measurement. Manager screening. Spoiling wellness programmes, including several different types of massage, e.g. anti-stress massage, or - based on the curative effect of the sub-alpine climate - breathing exercises, allergy-free days enrich the palette of our services.
For the participants of trainings and conferences, excursions are organised with trained leaders, as well as outdoor programmes.

Room rates are valid per night, includes buffet breakfast, the usage of the hotel's baths and wellness centre: Aqualand , fin sauna, infracabin, steamcabin, power-, and cardio equipment in the fitness centre, parking place.
Tourism tax should be paid extra (between 18-70 years): EUR 1/person/night.
An extra bed (only into superior room) costs EUR 24/person/night.
Half-board (buffet dinner) costs EUR 13/person/night.
Children policy: (staying in the same room with parents): under the age of 4 accomodation with breakfast and board is free.
Between 4 and 12 children receive 50% discount (not for extra bed) of the accomodation with breakfast and board.
Pets are welcome :- smaller: 1.600 HUF/day, larger pet: 3.200 HUF/day
Cancellation policy (for individuals): 72 hours (or more) prior to arrival free of charge, in 72 hours or no-show 1 night should be paid.
