It is situated on a steep slope, which is fixed by an abutment. The church was built in 1887-88, on the site of the medieval parish-church of Mor, by using the western tower of it.
Its rector is mentioned in the papal tithe-list in 1333-35, the church is mentioned firstly in 1484. It was a Calvinist-church during the Ottoman occupation, and then Janos Hochburg gave it back to the Catholic Religion in 1696. The present church was built by Ferenc Csader, a building contractor, on the basis of Ferenc Havranek's and Aranyi's plans. It was dedicated in 1892.
It has three naves. It is Neo-Gothic, orientated with a pyramid-steepled medieval tower. Its apse is three-eight tightness.
There is a cemetery around it, which had not been used since the end of the 18th century. The church has a quadripartite vault, there is a Prussian, cap-arched chancel in the side-aisle and there is a equivalent organ-loft. The windows were painted by Szantay and Szabo. In the chancel-assize, the wall-paintings near to the last high altar is a Marton Kelemen's work. A Rieger-organ may be noticed in this church as well.
