Gyopárosfürdő is situated 3 km from the centre of Orosháza, in a protected natural area on the banks of Lake Gyopáros. It is a spa, known as the ?Pearl of the Great Plains?. The lake system consisting of three lakes became known as a curative bath in 1869. The water, with natural alkali-hydrogene-carbonate content is considered helpful in curing various locomotor diseases, inflammations, rheumatism, arthropathy and gynaecological diseases. It is thought of as being good in rehabilitation after accidents and operations. Based on the healing power of the medicinal water the Medical Centre provides full-scale specialist treatment in the fields of physiotherapy, electrotherapy and balneotherapy. The Health Preservation Centre provides recreation, relaxation and refreshment services for its patients. The jacuzzi, pool-bath, solarium, underwater water jet massage, and full and partial body massage shape forming massage, relaxation massage armchair, resonance therapy and magnevit reflex acupuncture provide healthy stimulation for patients wishing to rest and relax.
The Gyopárosfürő Aquapark complexity has 4 indoors and 3 outdoors swimming-pools equipped with adventure elements (floating corridor, sitting and lying massage, spring, Jacuzzi, neck shower, water cannon group, geyser, splashing pool) and two huge chutes. Besides the traditional saunas, the special ?Sauna Park? also has a steam chamber, infrachamber, aroma chamber and light therapy, certainly accompanied by cold-water pool and Jacuzzi.
