Hotel Shiraz - Egerszalók

    

The 'fabulous' Shiraz Hotel opened in the summer of 2003 in Egerszalok. The hotel is an attractive mixture of luxury, oriental comfort and Mediterranean atmosphere which lends to it a unique, and family-friendly character.
Egerszalok is located among the foothills of the mountain Bukk, 6 km from Eger and 120 km from Budapest. The M3 motorway is 20 km far. It is a very quiet, small village with 1800 inhabitants: ideally suited for recreation and relaxation.
The Hotel Shiraz has been built in the water-surrounded centre of the village. A creek runs from the hotel to the lake near to village. This creek comes from a mineral spring, which is also famous for its natural salt aggregation. The pride of the village is the well-known Spa „Hoforras”, which is open throughout the year, day and night. The spa is located 1.5 km from the hotel.

Room information
There are 21 rooms and one apartment in the Hotel Shiraz:
Standard room: has a colour television, internet connection, mini-bar and air-conditioning. The basic facilities, like toilet, tub or shower are en-suite. The rooms are equipped with hairdryer and bathrobes. The walls are decorated with Berber motifs; in the corridors, lamps made of camel- and goatskin add to the sense of serenity.
Superior room: has balcony looking onto the beautiful garden, there are comfortable chairs on the balcony. All have a colour television, internet connection, mini-bar and air-conditioning. The basic facilities, like toilet, tub or shower are en-suite. The rooms are equipped with hairdryer and bathrobes. The walls are decorated with Berber motifs; in the corridors, lamps made of camel- and goatskin add to the sense of serenity.
Family room: some of the standard rooms are spacious enough for two extra beds; on request, these rooms can also be interconnected so that you and your children can relax leisurely while still being close to each other.
The Hotel Shiraz is well equipped with baby-friendly facilities. A separate menu card is available for children in the fine Shiraz Restaurant. There is also a separate room designed especially for the entertainment of children, equipped with games, toys and movies suitable for children, convenient for parents who wish to have a carefree evening.

Gastronomy
In the Shiraz Restaurant the menu is compiled by the chefs of the fine Restaurant Shiraz meets the high standards. From May to September, the terrace of the restaurant and the cocktail terrace of the Bar Casablanca also contribute to your well-being as a guest in the hotel. Sitting on the bolstered divans of the coffee terrace in Café Cairo, you will certainly enjoy the magical lookout on the garden.

Wellness & Spa
You will have the opportunity to spend some time in the garden sauna or the Jacuzzi; and the herb-garden and rosarium will certainly affect all your senses. During the summer, we also place umbrellas and sunbathing beds in the garden.

The „Hoforras” Spa
The thermal water contains natrium, calcium-magnesium, hydrogen-carbonates and silica. The quality of the thermal water is high; it is very high ranked among sulphur contained thermal waters. It is medically proven that, among other things, the water is well suited for post-treatment of bone injuries or rheumatism.

The room rates are listed per night, include breakfast (buffet-style), the use of the following facilities and services: use of narghile at CaféCairo, one ticket per person to the spa of Egerszalok, use of garden sauna, jacuzzi, bathrobe, playground for children, playroom, table tennis, badminton, sunbathing beds, enclosed parking area, a public internet desk and VAT. Local tax is payable extra 200 HUF (0,8 €)/person/night.
The price of the three-course half-board is HUF 3.700/person/dinner; the full-board is HUF 6.700/person/day.
Accommodation for children under 2 years, on a crib, is free. For children between 2-12 years, (same room as parents) the price is half of the normal cost of the extra bed.
