The Rakoczi Castle, with its elements of monastery, fortress and baronial castle today serves the purpose of public education.
This building houses the Town Cultural Centre and the Museum of Zemplen, where one can visit the permanent exhibition on Zsigmond Rakoczi and his age. Here you can see the world's the third largest collection of picture postcards, containing approximately 900,000 pieces and they are postcards from all over the world and dating back to 1860.
The exhibited material is even more interesting because of the 36,000 ex libris cards made by Hungarian and other European artists.
