Situated by the Gyongyos Creek, the over 27-hectare botanic garden accommodates tree and shrub species from the temperate and frigid zones.
Besides its collection and preservation activities, the arboretum is one of the research bases for plant improvement. The garden offers various things to see at all times in the year, but it is most visited in May, when the Rhododendrons are in blossom.
On the area of the arbouretum ökoturisztikai a visitor and a teaching centre may be set up in the immediate future.
