Tata - Description
Tata, is known as a town of waters, thanks to its lakes and over a hundred springs. The Oreg (Old) Castle at Lake Oreg is the only remaining water castle in Hungary.
The nearby Fenyes Bath and the Gerecse Hills make Tata a popular resort town. The watermills lend a special atmosphere to the town, the oldest of which was mentioned in 1587 as the Cifra (Ornamented) Mill.
The attraction of the Tata region comes from the matchless beautiful countryside of the Danube and the Gerecse Hills and the old village scenes.
