The Fire Lookout Tower is one of the symbols of the city, the view from here is fascinating.
The fundaments of the today's tower originate from the time of the reign of Bela IV, at that time it was merely a watch-tower and it had mainly protective function.
Later the tower was rebuilt for a new purpose: a guard had to watch the city day and night and sign when a fire broke out.
The music clock of the Fire Tower plays a popular tune every hour.
