The building of the Gocseji Museum stands on the other side of Deak Square. This building houses the work-of-art of Zsigmond Kisfaludi-Strobl, a sculptor born in Zala Country, which he had bequeathed to the town.
Among the exhibited sculptures we can find the portraits of Elisabeth II. and G. B. Shaw. The museum's standing exhibition on the history of the county entitled "Centres along River Zala" guides the visitors through the history of Salla (Zalalovo) in the Roman Times, Mosaburg (Zalavar) in the Middle Ages well as Zalaegerszeg.
