Good to know about our yurtotel - up to 8 people can sleep in one yurt (our total capacity is 48 pax) - cosy comfort is ensured by insulated floor, electricity, lighting and heating - near to Zsindelyes Restaurant, free WiFi is available - bedding – we provide matresses, bed sheets and pilows but you need to bring your own sleeping bag and towel, please don’t forget them when packing. What you can find nearby the yurts: - Zsindelyes Restaurant (designed by Imre Makovecz, a famous Hungarian organic building architect), which provides anything you would feel like eating from breakfast to big meals and event catering - separate chalet for shower and lavatory block.

Dobogókő is a climatic health resort, with amazing all-year-round opportunities of hiking tracks, ski centre and pilgrimage point, where you can see one of the most beautiful panorama of the country. It’s the starting point of several hiking routes, for example: - the romantic wilderness of Rám-szakadék (Rám Canyon) - Thirring-szikla (Thirring Rock, Turul Roundroute) - Ferenczy-szikla (Ferenczy Rock, which is believed to be the Heart Chakra of Earth) - Zsivány-szikla (Rogue Rock) - Vadálló-kövek (Game Watch Boulders) - Prédikálószék (Preacher’s Stool) with its gorgeous view - Pilis-tető (Pilis Summit), the second highest point of Transdanubia - Canyon of Pilisszentkereszt. which are all known to be amongst the most beautiful tourist locations of Hungary. The National Blue Hiking Route and St. Mary Route reach Dobogókő, too, where you can find more and more assigned bicycle hiking tracks as well.

Restaurant services

The inn was designed in 1979 by the famous Hungarian organic building architect, Imre Makovecz and built in 1980. It is located at the eastern border of Dobogókő, near the top of the ski slopes. At wintertime, we invite you to taste our special hot ginger drink, while at summertime you can enjoy having your meal at our fresh open air terrasse. The Restaurant is open from 9:00 to 19:00, latest ask for dinner: 18:30

Taking alcoholic drinks is not allowed to our area. Eating, drinking, smoking and make noise nighttime is not allowed in the yurts We recommend the Zsindelyes Restaurtant to eat and drink.

How to reach

Dobogókő is 25 km from the border of Budapest. Take road 11 towards Szentendre/Visegrád, and as soon as you enter Szentendre, turn left towads Dobogókő. By public transport from Budapest: Take the suburban rail H5 (Szentendrei HÉV) from Batthyány tér to Pomáz- Take the bus from Pomáz to Dobogókő Walk 500 m to in the direction of the Ski resort, "Makovecz Zsindelyes" and yurts (check the information board) at the bus stop
